Don't Want To Add Fuel To Fire, Says Kalki On Pakistani Actors

  • Don't Want To Add Fuel To Fire, Says Kalki On Pakistani Actors
Actress Kalki Koechlin, who has been busy shooting for her films, has kept mum all this while about the sidelining of Pakistani actors in Bollywood and says she doesn't want to add fuel to the fire.

"I don't want to add fuel to the fire because this thing has been going on for a long time. I personally think that we live in an international world and we have Indians living all over the world. If we asked all those NRIs to come back to India, then we would have nowhere to put them," Kalki said.

"So, similarly, if there are guests from other countries living in our country, myself included, who is of French origin but born and bought up in India, where do I belong? If I don't belong in this country, then I don't know where I belong to. So, I think it's very important to understand that," she added.

Post the Uri attack, tensions between India and Pakistan have taken an ugly turn, following which a debate has raged on whether Pakistani actors should be banned from working in India.

Meanwhile, the actress, who is also associated with online home decor magazine Beautifulhomes.com, says she loves Sussanne Khan's house.

Asked of all celebrity friends whose house she found beautiful and why, she said: "... I think Sussanne Khan's taste is amazing; she has a natural eye for things and she has a airy-fairy quality also. She has these little details like garden norms, fairies which I really find quirky and nice."

Beautifulhomes.com, the quintessential e-decor magazine, was launched on Wednesday evening in the presence of actor Kalki Kochelin.

Talking about her association with beautifulhomes.com, she said: "This is my first association with beautifulhomes and I just bought a beautiful home for myself this year.

"For the first time I have a house of my own and its a very exciting thing ofcourse and I think what is great about beautiful homes is that they make is very personal, they really work towards getting your home as per your personality and its affordable, for the common person, it's a one point stop where you can do everything.

"Its really hard to get a home together, so many different aspects go into it. There is contractor, there an electrician, there is a painter, there is this and there is that, and this is one stop where you can find all of it."
