'DJ Wale Babu' Star Natasa Stankovic Wanted Peppy Song In Her Next

Darpan News Desk IANS, 04 Jun, 2016 02:17 PM
Natasa Stankovic, known for featuring in rapper Badshah's popular music video titled "DJ wale babu", says she wanted to put a peppy number in her forthcoming film "7 HOURS TO GO" - an investigative thriller.

"I love songs and dance, and 'DJ waale babu' has given me immense popularity. Hence, I wanted to put a song as peppy as 'DJ wale babu'. However, the director Saurabh Varma, who's also written the film, did not want the end tone to be taken away from the film.

"I am happy with the way my role has come out, but I wouldn't have minded a little bit of song and dance," said Natasa.

Varma shared that he would have loved to incorporate Natasa's request, but the "film's tone does not permit for it to take the masala route in the end".

"The end will surprise you like it did in earlier films like 'Kahaani' or 'A Wednesday!'. I don't want the audience to lose the flavour as they walk out of the auditorium and hence, the idea of the song in the end credit was dropped."

"7 HOURS TO GO", produced by Krian Media, also stars Shiv Pandit, Sandeepa Dhar and Varun Badola.
