Diljit Dosanjh has shared the first look at his character from an upcoming Punjabi film he will be a part of. The yet untitled film will be based on World War I and he will play a soldier in it.

 

Directed by Pankaj Batra and written by Gurpreet Singh Palhadi, the movie pays a tribute to the sacrifice that the Indian Army made during the World War I.

 

Diljit also shared a vague release date for the film. “Film Based on #Worldwar1...Releasing Early 2018,” he wrote in a tweet.

 
 

In the photo, Diljit is dressed in a soldier’s uniform,fastened with leather belts. His face and uniform are splattered with blood and dirt as looks ahead with a stern expression on his face.

 

A few days ago, he posted more pictures from the film sets. “Its a moment of Honor to be standing next to living Legend Yograj Singh Ji...#Worldwar1,” he wrote in one of the tweets.

 
 
 

In World War 1, the contribution of Indian Army has been immense with large number of divisions and independent brigades to the European, Mediterranean and the Middle East theatres of war.

 

Diljit has undergone a massive change for this movie and he looks quite good in his new look. Although the title of the movie is yet to be ascertained, the movie starring Diljit will hit the screens in 2018.
