Delhi Is Ranbir Kapoor's Favourite Shooting Spot

Darpan News Desk IANS, 11 Nov, 2015 12:29 PM
He has shot films across the world, but actor Ranbir Kapoor says he loves shooting in Delhi, and especially its varied facets that filmmaker Imtiaz Ali encapsulates in his movies.

Whether it was "Love Aaj Kal", "Rockstar", "Highway" or "Tamasha" -- elements of Delhi have always been a part of Imtiaz's films.

Talking about it, Ranbir said: "'Tamasha' has its intense moments... Our Corsica leg was amazing, and the Delhi portion was great too. I don't think anyone captures Delhi the way Imtiaz does, whether it's his 'Love Aaj Kal', 'Highway' or 'Rockstar'.

"No other director justifies Delhi better than Imtiaz... He understand Delhi, the heart of Delhi, its characters, its people, its language."

The actor also believes that when they are put in real locations such as those used by Imtiaz, it "adds to the performance".

"You feel the world, you feel the smell, you feel the food and feel the vibe. Delhi is by far my favourite place to shoot," he said.

Ranbir was in the capital city on Tuesday evening to soak in the Diwali festivity on the eve of the fest of lights. He was accompanied by his "Tamasha" co-star Deepika Padukone.
