With a surge in rap music and rappers in India, Raftaar, who has created waves with songs like "Shera di kaum", "All black" and "Singh and Kaur", feels competition is important in the music industry.
"Any (kind of) competition just results in good competition because everyone has a different perspective. It's nice to see two sides battle it out," Raftaar, whose real name is Dilin Nair, told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
The musician, who has competitors in Badshah, Honey Singh and Hard Kaur among others, has recently crooned a number titled "Toh Dishoom" for director Rohit Dhawan's action-adventure film "Dishoom".
The song is picturised on Varun Dhawan and John Abraham.
Asked if he will be seen crooning with Varun anytime soon, Raftaar said: "We were talking about that when we were out on promotions (for 'Dishoom')... I know he loves rap and I gave him an idea that we should do something together."
"Many people have told me that my voice goes really well with him... So you will see a lot of collaboration in the future for sure."
The "Instagram love" rapper has also rapped a number for actress Sunny Leone along with Manj Musik.
