'Commando 2' to release on January 6, 2017

  • 'Commando 2' to release on January 6, 2017
Vidyut Jamwal and Adah Sharma-starrer "Commando 2" has been locked for release on January 6, next year.

Vidyut took to Twitter to announce the release date of the film, which is the second instalment of the 2013 film "Commando".

"'Commando 2' releasing on 6th January 2017," he tweeted on Friday.

Adah Sharma says: “My character has a gun in almost every scene, so our director, Deven Bhojani (best known for the hilarious sitcom 'Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai') was very clear that I look comfortable and natural when I hold a gun and shoot. My body language, how far to keep the gun from my face when firing, holding it right — these were all important aspects. There is a lot of running as well and beating up some goons, which was fun.”

Sharma revealed that she watched a lot of action movies and loved Uma Thurman in “Kill Bill.” Her avatar in the film is sizzling and stern, and it’s virtually a reinvention for the homely lass of both her earlier Hindi films.

Actress Esha Gupta is also part of the film.

The film has been produced by "Namastey London" director Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who was responsible for giving Vidyut the break as a baddie in "Force". The role fetched him the Filmfare Award for Best Debut (Male).

"Commando 2" reportedly revolves around the issue of black money.
