Chris Martin Parties With Shah Rukh Khan, Sussanne Khan And Sridevi’s Daughters

    Coldplay frontman Chris Martin on Thursday night was in the company of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, designer Manish Malhotra and others from the Indian film industry, ahead of the debut edition of the Global Citizen Festival India (GCFI) here.
     
    From photographs across social media, Martin seems like he was happy to get clicked with the Indian celebrities. He was casually dressed in a white T-shirt with “Love” written on it.
     
    Also present at the dinner, which was organised at a hotel here, were Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi and Sussanne Khan, apart from officials of Wizcraft International Entertainment and Viacom18.
     
    Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughters Jhanvi and Khushi, and Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah, too, made the most of the moment and got photographed with Martin.
     
    Vivek, who posed with his wife Priyanka and Martin, tweeted: “An amazing evening with the incredible Chris Martin of Coldplay. Great guy, using his voice for humanity.”
     
    Sussanne, who thanked her brother Zayed Khan and former husband Hrithik Roshan for her special moment with Martin, tweeted: “Epic Moments of a lifetime with my Chris Martin. Amazing heart, your love has made me shine?”
     
    Martin is here for GCFI. He is not just the curator of the gala, but his world-famous British boy band Coldplay will also make its maiden full-show performance here on Saturday.
     
    The gala, set to take place at the MMRDA grounds here, is focused on creating an impact in areas of education, equality, and clean water and sanitation.
     
    GCFI will also feature international artistes like band The Vamps — who, too, have arrived here — apart from Jay Z and Demi Lovato.
     
    Among Indian celebrities who will be present at the gala are Amitabh Bachchan, A.R. Rahman, Shah Rukh Khan, Freida Pinto, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra, Monali Thakur and Arijit Singh.
     
     
    SACHIN, CHRIS MARTIN MEET SCHOOL STUDENTS
     
    Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and singer-songwriter Chris Martin, who arrived to attend the Global Citizen Festival Of India 2016, visited Shri Gadge Maharaja Vidyalay here on Friday and met its students.
     
    State Minister Poonam Mahajan and Global Citizen's CEO Hugh Evans introduced the cricket legend and the lead singer of Coldplay - the curator of the Global Citizen Festival. Coldplay are among the performers at the first Global Citizen Festival in India taking place on Saturday at the MMRDA grounds in Mumbai.
     
     
    All the children had written essays about what better education, increased equality and improved sanitation would mean to them as they look to their futures. Global Citizen India - in partnership with The Global Education and Leadership Foundation chaired by Shiv Khemka - gifted school supplies for the 600 children - aged from 5 to 15. On the other hand, HP, the IT Company donated six laptops to help the students to continue their learning.
     
     
    Apart from Coldplay, Jay Z, Demi Lovato and The Vamps from abroad and Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, A.R. Rahman, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif and more from Indian filmdom are expected at the maiden edition of the festival -- expected to be attended by a crowd of around 80,000.
