Chitrangda finds her chemistry 'exceptional' with Sara, Vikrant in 'Gaslight'

Mumbai, March 16 (IANS) Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh, who will be seen playing the role of Rukmini in the upcoming web series 'Gaslight', shared her experience working with Sara Ali Khan and Vikrant Massey in the suspense thriller.
The actress is playing the lead character Misha's (Sara Ali Khan) stepmother. While Misha is a physically challenged girl, Rukmini is a mysterious character.
While Chitrangada in the trailer of the web series apparently looks like a caring mother who welcomes her physically challenged stepdaughter, there are many secrets she seems to be hiding from Misha about her missing father. On the other hand, Vikrant Massey is seen as the king's personal assistant.
Sharing her working experience with Sara and Vikrant, Chitrangada said: "It was absolutely lovely working with Sara and Vikram. The two have done an abundance of work in Bollywood and the casting of this film sets you up for interesting scenes."
Chitrangda who made her film debut with 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi', was also seen in the comedy movie 'Desi Boys', 'Inkaar', and she was also appreciated for her role as Latika in the series 'Modern Love Mumbai' and she was also part of 'Bob Biswas'.
The actress further shared that as a person she, Sara, and Vikrant are completely different but their on-screen chemistry looks perfect and makes the plot intriguing.
"The three of us are very distinct from one another as people and actors, but together the chemistry and suspense we were able to build and create in regard to the plot are honestly exceptional. You can only expect that we have had a great time on set," she added.
'Gaslight' will be streaming from March 31 on Disney+ Hotstar.
Preparations have also started at the Suryagarh Hotel. Special security arrangements have been made to monitor the security of the VVIP guests who have been invited in the wedding. Sources said that a wedding planner company in Mumbai is looking after the arrangements.
The couple is coming together for a comedy-drama which is penned by popular author Chetan Bhagat. The shoot for the film has already culminated and was shot in Mumbai. Angad will be playing the character of Raghavan Rao and Neha plays the role of his wife, Savi.
The overseas gross on day 7 is at Rs. 15 crore. In 7 days, 'Pathaan' has recorded $29.27 million (Rs. 238.5 crores) in the overseas territories alone, while nett collection in India stands at Rs. 330.25 (Hindi - Rs. 318.50 crores, dubbed - Rs. 11.75 crores).
After a lull of nearly two years, cinephiles can finally look forward to all kinds of cinematic treats this year. 2023 is all geared up to welcome a fresh line-up of titles ranging from blockbusters and jaw-dropping action extravaganzas like Pathaan, Tiger 3, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Jawan to inspiring biopics and crime thrillers like Maidaan and Animal.
Shah Rukh Khan has thanked, without naming anyone, "all those" whom he had "made calls to", for enabling "Pathaan" "to be watched by people with love". He said this at a nationally televised interaction with the media and fans at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. Journalists were not allowed to pose questions at the event organised by Yash Raj Films on Monday.
Filmmaker Anurag Basu hosted a Saraswati puja and it was attended by a string of Bollywood personalities including Rajkummar Rao and wife Patralekhaa, Kartik Aaryan and Abhishek Bachchan among many others.
