  • Chef Vikas Khanna To Present Book 'Utsav' To Barack Obama
After hosting a culinary treat for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CEOs of top global companies in New York, Michelin starred chef Vikas Khanna will present his book titled "Utsav - A culinary epic of Indian festivals" to US President Barack Obama.

"I will be handing over my book 'Utsav' to US President Barack Obama," the Amritsar born chef told IANS over phone from New York.

Khanna also presented the book to Modi in New York on Thursday evening, when 42 of the world's top corporate leaders congregated for a dinner meeting. The master chef even cooked an over five-course meal with most recipes taken from his own book.

Weighing 16 kg, the book, which was launched in Cannes at the Cannes International Film Festival earlier this year, is written with pure gold ink.

The over 1,000-page coffee table book, published by Bloomsbury Publishing, contains 1,000 recipes from 70 Indian festivals. The book comes in a large box, which Khanna calls the "cradle".
