  • Chandigarh court issues legal notice against Aamir for promoting homosexuality?
Believe it or not but Mr perfectionist of Bollywood Aamir has once again landed in a legal soup, but this time it's not because of his upcoming flick PK. Instead this time it's his TV talk show Satyamev Jayte which has invited trouble for the star .

If reports pertaining to this whole issue are to be believed then, accepting the petition of a Chandigarh based lawyer Mandeep Kaur, Chandigarh court has issued a legal notice against the star for promoting homo-sexuality.

What reports further suggest is that in her petition the said advocate has alleged that Aamir's conduct on his show which was broadcasted just a few days back was a violation of Supreme Court's orders pertaining to homosexuality, upholding section 377 which criminalize the homosexual acts.

This entire hullabaloo pertaining to Aamir's show erupted after the broadcast of the episode discussed the lifestyle and rights of eunuchs and gays/lesbians which an was aired on October 19th where Aamir asked public to vote for the amendment of Article 377 of IPC which makes homosexuality a punishable offence.

Reportedly through her petition Kaur has sought court's intervention to declare Aamir's act as contempt of court and has also claimed that the actor has promoted a criminal offence on television. Court has asked Aamir to file his reply by December 19th.
