CBFC Repairing Some Damages: Ajay Devgn's Baadshaho Cleared By With Zero Cuts

Darpan News Desk IANS, 25 Aug, 2017 02:27 PM
Smriti Irani’s bold decision of bringing in Prasoon Joshi for the outdated Pahlaj Nihalani seems to bear fruit as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) have cleared the upcoming Ajay Devgn starrer Baadshaho with no cuts whatsoever.

With the film constituting of the major action scenes and even a love making scene, there was much speculation that the makers of Baadshaho are set for a CBFC tiff of their own.

However, the new Prasoon Joshi ruled CBFC seems to be mending old damages. And the makers of Ajay Devgn’s latest flick can confirm that.

The film lasting two hours and sixteen minutes has been cleared with zero cuts, on top of a U/A certificate to go with. Apparently, the board members even felt the film’s action and tender scenes were done in the spirit of “great fun”. A source from CBFC tells DNA, “You will never find Ajay associated with anything even remotely off colour.”

Now with the film cleared, the makers of the film will be bracing themselves for the final sprint in promotions as the film is hardly a week away from release. The film is set in the emergency period and its story is centred around a heist mission.

The film has an ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta and Vidyut Jamwal in pivotal roles. The film is set to release on September 1, 2017.
