'Cabaret' Film Not Based On Dance Form: Richa Chadha

Darpan News Desk IANS, 26 Dec, 2015 01:57 PM
Actress Richa Chadha has clarified that her next film "Cabaret" is not based on the popular dance form cabaret.

"Cabaret is not based on cabaret (dance). It's a story of a simple girl, who goes through a lot of troubles. Then there is a love story between this girl and her boyfriend. The film's backdrop is based on dance and performance," Richa said.

She also clarified that contrary to reports, the film is not based on yesteryear actress Helen's life.

"Press is reporting that it is based on Helen ji's life. That is not true," she explained.

Directed by Kaustav Narayan Niyogi and produced by Pooja Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar under the banner of Fisheye Network Private Limited, "Cabaret" will release in 2016.
