Break From Films To Think About What I'm Doing: Ileana D'cruz

Darpan News Desk IANS, 31 Aug, 2015 12:48 PM
Ileana D'Cruz, who made her Bollywood debut with the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer "Barfi!" and was last seen on the big screen in Saif Ali Khan-starrer "Happy Ending", says she's on a break from movies to think about where her career is heading.

"I haven't done anything since 'Happy Ending' (2014), so it has been a while. It's probably a break because I didn't like what I was getting. I wasn't happy with the scripts... I don't want to sign (just about) anything. I want to work on good projects," the popular southern film actress told IANS.

But "it's just a break", pointed out the "Pokiri" actress and added: "I'm not leaving the film industry, but it's time to think about what I am doing."

However, she says she has an interesting project in hand right now, and she will announce it soon.

"There is something interesting in the pipeline about which I'm excited. I can't talk about it unless it is confirmed. So, I'm giving it another week. You know how the film industry works... sometimes it gets confirmed, and sometimes it will take a week," she said.

The actress was here to be part of the Lakme Fashion Week winter-festive 2015, where she came as the showstopper for Sangria, a brand available on e-commerce platform Jabong.

Ileana flaunted a beautiful floral flowy gown teamed up with an elegant black long coat from Sangria, which gave the outfit a regal look.

Asked what it feels to be a regular on the fashion ramp, she said: "I am lucky. I think it's a big responsibility that you are representing a brand's style, their collection and their inspiration.

"It's always an honour to walk on the fashion runway."

Ileana also credits runway models for helping her with their suggestion.

"We cant take the limelight from models... they are stunning. You can't imagine how amazing they are with the kind of work they do. Sometimes, I try to take suggestions from them," said Ileana.

Talking of online shopping, she said: "I totally shop online. I am a big online shopper."

However, her personal style is something that fluctuates a lot.

"I fluctuate a lot. I can wear dungarees, and on days I want to dress up from head to toe... I think it depends on my mood. I am quite a moody person, but I hate going over the top. I kind of stick with very simple and easy clothing, but at the same it has to be classy too."

Ileana's must-have pieces are a pair of fitted jeans, lots of black outfits, accessories, nice sports shoes and a clutch.
