As Shah Rukh Khan, known as the "King of Romance" and "King Khan", turned 51 on Wednesday, celebrities including Sachin Tendulkar, Farah Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez wished the superstar a year full of love, happiness, peace and prosperity.
 
SRK began his acting career with appearances in several TV series in the late 1980s. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with "Deewana". 
 
The actor was lauded for portraying anti-hero roles in films like "Darr", "Baazigar" and "Anjaam". He then rose to prominence after starring in a series of romantic films, including "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", "Dil To Pagal Hai", "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Mohabbatein" and "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...". 
 
He was critically acclaimed for his roles in "Devdas", "Chak De! India" and "My Name Is Khan". The actor was last seen on the silver screen in "Fan". Shah Rukh is currently looking forward to "Raees", "Dear Zindagi" and Imtiaz Ali's next.

FANS GATHER OUTSIDE MANNAT FOR SRK'S 51ST BIRTHDAY
 
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is known to celebrate his birthday with the media every year, choose to stay out of the limelight and instead preferred to be with his family.
 
The actor had a quiet celebration with his family and close friends in Alibaug on Tuesday night.
 
The "Dilwale" actor however, returned to his house 'Mannat' on Wednesday and waved for his fans who were waiting outside his bungalow to get a glimpse of the superstar.
 
Shah Rukh further tweeted, "Thank you everyone who came from all over the world to wish me. U make me feel so special & loved. Really this is the best moment for me."
 
He further tweeted, "If I could, I would jump amidst you. So that you could take me home. Thank you all for coming and making my birthday so special. Love you!"
 
Shah Rukh, who turned 51 today, will next be seen in "Dear Zindagi" and "Raees".
 
 
PAUL FEIG, WIFE WISH SRK ON 51ST BIRTHDAY
 
"Ghostbusters" director Paul Feig and his wife Laurie have wished Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on his 51st birthday.
 
Paul, who has also helmed films like "The Heat" and "Spy", on Wednesday took to Twitter to wish the "amazing" Shah Rukh. 
 
"Happy Birthday to our friend, the amazing Shah Rukh Khan! May your day be filled with laughter, music and cake. Lots of cake. Oh, and fries too," Paul wrote. 
 
Paul's wife Laurie also wished the "Happy New Year" star.
 
"Good morning India, it is Shah Rukh Khan's birthday! Hoping your day is as sunny and glorious as his. Wishing him health, happiness always. Thrills, king," she tweeted. 
 
In an interview earlier, the Hollywood director had told IANS that he "would love" to make a film with the Indian superstar.
 
The director also shared that Laurie is a "Bollywood fanatic" and a big fan of Shah Rukh, who has spent over two decades in filmdom.
 
Back in May, when Shah Rukh hosted a star-studded dinner party for Apple CEO Tim Cook, Feig's wife had tweeted: "Some day I hope Paul Feig can be welcome at Mannat! Dream, Shah Rukh Khan." 
 
Shah Rukh had then invited the couple over for a meal. The "Spy" director had then responded: "You're on, Shah Rukh Khan! I'll bring the ketchup. It would be an honour to meet you. Many thanks, my friend."
