Bollywood stars reveal their best friends

Darpan News Desk IANS, 03 Aug, 2014 07:11 AM
  • Bollywood stars reveal their best friends
On Friendship Day Sunday, Bollywood celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana talk about their best friends from the industry, school and family.

Here's what Bollywood stars have to say about their friends:

Tiger Shroff: My best friends are my parents. There's nothing I hide from them. I tell them everything.

Parineeti Chopra: My brother Sahaj is my closest friend. I speak to him about everything. He's the coolest guy and the person I love the most.

Ayushmann Khurrana: Rochak Kohli is my closest friend. We share a terrific creative rapport since our school days. We used to bunk classes and compose songs together. He is special because he is a pure-hearted human being, straightforward and talented and he encourages our juniors from college to do well in the entertainment industry. This Friendship Day, I want to tell Rochak he is very special.

Kriti Sanon: My sister Nupur is my closest friend. Sometimes she is like my mother talking wisely and sensibly and giving gyan (knowledge). At other times, she becomes my kid sister cajoling me to re-charge her phone balance. I can talk my heart out to my sister.

Bipasha Basu: Suzan Dadhich and Rocky S are my best friends. Suzan lives in Philadelphia after her marriage. We speak very little. But when we do re-connect we do so effortlessly, as if we had never been away from one another. It's a soul connection. The three of us, Suzan, Rocky and I, have bonded through thick and thin. It's the most unconditional and beautiful friendship. No expectations, no give and take. Just simple friendship love and fun always.

Ali Fazal: My closest friend is this street cat called Cookie. It walks around Worli in some kind of cat garters. I guess it's a pet gone astray. It seemed to have a perpetual smile on its face. I've seen my best friend twice in seven years. I have other best friends. But I hardly figure in their lives. So, I'd rather not embarrass myself and them by talking about them.

Gauahar Khan: My best friend is Preeti Simoes. She loves me unconditionally. Preeti is very childlike. But she is capable of giving me the best possible advice whenever I need it. I love her like my own sister.

Armaan Jain: My youger brother Aadar is my closest friend. We share everything and love each other unconditionally. We don't need to tell one another when we need something. We just know it instinctively.

Kiara Advani: My mother is my best friend. She's the rock-solid presence in my life. She is my late-night green-tea buddy, my first fan and my most honest critic. She is the first one to call me if I am in trouble. She is my one-stop support system.

Kalki Koechlin: My best friend is Kalliroi Tziafeta. She's special because she's always got some wise words to impart. If necessary, I can wake her up at 3 a.m.

Kapil Sharma: My closest friend is Dinesh. We grew up together in Amritsar. And now, he accompanies me everywhere. I wouldn't know what to do without him. We share a common passion for music. In fact, he plays drums in the band that you see on 'Comedy Nights With Kapil'.

Sushant Singh Rajput: Mahesh Shetty is my best friend. There is no pretence about him. He doesn't judge me and he has known me since I started my career. He has always been the same supportive self. I trust his judgement blindly.

Virr Das: My two best friends are Sahil and Nikhil. We've known each other for over 15 years. I am not too sure about what makes them special. But they seem to make me laugh, and that's not easy to do.
