Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has been discharged from Nanavati hospital on Sunday after being treated for the for the coronavirus for three weeks. The veteran actor took to Twitter to break the news of his release from the hospital. 

His son , Abhishek Bachchan, who was also hospitalized alongside his father on July 11 hasn't been discharged. He is still in Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital with the virus and he broke the news over social media as well.

The Bachchan family's daughter in law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and the 8-year-old granddaughter, both also contracted the virus, but were discharged from Nanavati hospital last week after recovering. Amitabh Bachchan's wife, Jaya, and the couple's daughter Shweta Nanda tested negative for COVID-19.
