Cheers and congratulations poured in from Bollywood as Mumbai Indians registered a thumping 41-run win over Chennai Super Kings to bring home the Indian Premiere League trophy at the Eden Gardens here on Sunday.
 
While actors Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar celebrated at the grounds with the men in blue, others took to Twitter to express their joy.
 
Ritesh Deshmukh said : "Mumbaiiiiiii Mumbaiiiiiiiiiiii @mipaltan Champions".
 
Abhishek Bacchan wished both teams on their performance but highlighted a ablue weekend'.
 
"@ChelseaFC win the EPL. @mipaltan win the IPL. it's a BLUE weekend!! Well done both teams," he said.
 
Music composer Anu Malik also expressed his love for the team.
 
"Oopar WaleA ne sun li dua IPL cup hamara hua @mipaltan CONGRATULATIONS. Badhai ho keh rahan hain saara jahaan #IPLFinal #MIvCSK LOVE U GUYS," he said.
 
Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by 41 runs in the final.
 
Mumbai erupts in joy after team wins IPL 2015 crown
 
Mumbai erupted in joy on Sunday night as exuberant fans celebrated Mumbai Indians' Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 triumph as team beats Chennai Super Kings (CSK) convincingly by 41 runs in the final at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
 
Mumbai Indians win their second IPL crown, first winning it back in 2013 at the same venue.
 
Fans poured in huge numbers in streets of to hail the stars. Streets of Churchgate, Andheri, Bandra, Dadar were filled with fans with team colours painted on their faces, lightning fireworks and dancing in the streets with team flag held high in their hands.
 
Along with posters of skipper Rohit Sharma and other players, fans were also seen dancing and celebrating with Sachin Tendulkar poster, who is currently the mentor of the team.
 
"We are IPL champions. Every player played like champions in the final against Chennai Super Kings. We deserved to be champions. Among all other IPL champions, Mumbai is the best champion team," Gautam Waghmare, a young Mumbai Indians fan said on Sunday after team's win.
 
Krishna Gurav, a 50-year-old Mumbai Indians fan was equally excited. He said,"I am really excited that Mumbai clinched the IPL crown.AAThe 11 group of players on the field today were outstanding. We are celebrating after the win at home. We deserved to be champions."
 
Fans also celebrated alongside Wankhede Stadium, which is the home ground for the team.
 
After a sluggish start to the 2015 season, Mumbai made a great comeback winning back-to-back matches and qualifying for the final in style and beating CSK in the final to clinch their second IPL crown.
