Some shocking news from Bollywood. Actress Malvi Malhotra is in hospital after she was allegedly stabbed with a knife multiple times by producer Yogesh Mahipal Singh on Monday night. The producer attacked her after she refused his marriage proposal. She is in stable condition in Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

Versova police station’s senior inspector Raghvendra Thakur told PTI, “We have registered an FIR against Singh under various Indian Penal Code sections, including 307 (attempt to murder), and are conducting an investigation into the case.”

Malvi Malhotra is from Himachal Pradesh. Accomplished Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is also from Himachal Pradesh and Malhotra allegedly reached out to Ranuat for help. Ranuat tweeted in relation to this tragic incident highlighting nepotism and that she is in Malhotra’s fight with her. 

Malhotra started out being seen in beauty commercials. She also worked in theatre  for three years before making her small screen debut with Udaan in 2017.

Apart from Bollywood film Hotel Milan, Malhotra has also worked in regional films of the Tamil industry such as Ondikku Ondi and Unadhan.
