Big B's Open Letter To Granddaughters Inspires Scene In TV Show

Darpan News Desk IANS, 26 Oct, 2016 11:14 AM
  • Big B's Open Letter To Granddaughters Inspires Scene In TV Show
TV show "Badho Bahu" will next feature a sequence inspired by megastar Amitabh Bachchans open letter to his granddaughters in which he attempted to impart some life lessons to them.

Big B, ahead of the release of his movie "Pink", had penned the open letter to his granddaughters Navya Naveli Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan.

"Badho Bahu", which trails the journey of a plus-sized girl, will feature a scene where Raghuveer Singh (Pankaj Dheer) who treats Badho (Rytasha Rathore) like his own daughter will be seen explaining the facts of life to her much like what Amitabh's letter conveyed to his granddaughters.

In the scene, Raghuveer will be seen explaining to Badho how she will come across a lot of people who will try to pull her down with harsh words on her looks and weight. But she shouldn't let this affect her self-esteem.

"I think it's a progressive thought and it's the need of the hour. I pray that every home has such beautiful relationships and it's so reflective from the scene," Pankaj said in a statement.

"Girls in most part of India are disregarded and thought as inferior. Through this scene, we are trying to bring to light that girls are equal and shouldn't put themselves down," he added.

Sharing her experience about doing the scene with Pankaj, Rytasha said: "I really enjoyed filming the scene with Pankajji. It made me think of all the women in India who don't get the kind of validation or support or the encouragement that they need from society."

"Badho Bahu" is aired on &TV.
