Big B wonders if 'Yudh' will be appreciated

  • Big B wonders if 'Yudh' will be appreciated
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is set to make his debut on a fiction TV show with "Yudh". With the rising number of channels and shows, he wonders if his effort will be appreciated.

When he first forayed on the small screen with "Kaun Banega Crorepati", he marked a revolution for the medium. And after decades of working in the entertainment industry, he still wonders if he will be able to strike a chord with TV viewers.

“As you go through the 800-odd TV channels in the country, you often wonder whether with the amount of content that keeps floating around, your own effort would ever be seen or even appreciated.

"Television has become three times more remunerative than films here in the country. The turnovers say so, as do many of the viewers,” he posted on his official blog srbachchan.tumblr.com Monday.

While many faces from the TV world are trying to find space in films, Big B says he is "doing exactly the opposite and hoping and wishing that efforts made to execute something different, shall be acknowledged”.

He believes that it is a “tough world... and only the tough survive”.

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the show, to be aired on Sony Entertainment Television, also features Sarika and Kay Kay Menon.
