Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday congratulated shuttler Kidambi Srikanth and Indian womens cricket team over their respective wins at Australian Open Super Series and ICC Women's cricket World Cup.
While Srikanth defeated Chinese Cheng Long on Sunday to clinch the Australian Open Super Series men's single title, the Indian women's cricket team on Saturday defeated England on their home soil by 35 runs in the opening match of the ICC Women's cricket World Cup.
"Congratulations India. Proud to be an Indian," Amitabh wrote in a series of tweets.
"Congratulations Srikanth K You have beaten the best. Given India a pride of place. Proud of you," he added.
Amitabh, 74, is currently busy shooting for "Thugs of Hindostan" in Malta along with superstar Aamir Khan.
