Big B Plans To Spend New Year With Family

Darpan News Desk IANS, 31 Dec, 2015 11:47 AM
  • Big B Plans To Spend New Year With Family
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is excited as his daughter Shweta will celebrate the New Year with him and other family members. The 73-year-old says as age is catching up, he has a desire to be with family rather than partying.

“And as the year comes to an end, the usual questions keep cropping up by the media. How was 2015, resolutions for 2016, best and worst moments, expectations for the New Year, and each year the answers are the same," Big posted on his blog.

“It's a fortune for me to be breathing and being in the company of the Ef (extended family) for yet another year and may it continue...day in and day out.”

“There were years of the new, when the desire to celebrate and find the joys of partying and song and dance and being with friends and revellers. All that gradually seems to fade away with the age catching up. Now, the desire is to be with family or spend time in the solitudes of life. How time changes attitude and wishes…,” he added.

The “Shahenshah” of Bollywood feels that “there is shortage of time and there is a lot to be done still” but he is excited that for New Year his daughter is visiting his residence here.

“But the excitement of the day has to be daughter in town and at home for the New Year. Shweta flies in and it's as though the whole house changed its tone and colour. The smiles on the staff is back, the dinner is special out in the patio with candles... laughter and fun at some of the videos that have been played for her... such a joy …,” said the “Wazir” star.

Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, "Wazir" also stars Farhan Akhtar, Aditi Rao Hydari and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

The film, distributed by Reliance Entertainment, will release on January 8 next year.

The megastar also shared a link of the making of “Atrangi yaari” from the film.

“Wishing all my atrangi yaaras a Happy New Year! Celebrate friendship! Watch this special #AtrangiYaariMaking,” he posted.
