Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Thursday paid homage to Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore on his birth anniversary.
The 72-year-old actor took to micro-blogging website Twitter writing: "T 1858 - Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore Anniversary...May 7... in remembrance of greatness."
He also posted a black and white photograph of Tagore on his Twitter page.
In 1913, Tagore became the first Indian to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. He is also the composer of the country's national anthem.
Meanwhile, Amitabh's latest film, "Piku" is set to release Friday. The film, directed by Shoojit Sircar, also stars Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.
