Megastar Amitabh Bachchan wishes to use his stardom to eradicate more social issues and the latest in those lines are the plans to start a new campaign for infectious disease caused by the Hepatitis B virus (HBV).
 
The 72-year-old, who has been associated with Unicef as a Global Ambassador for polio eradication since 2005, took his concern for the disease to social media Monday, saying that he met doctors recently to plan strategies to cure it. 
 
“Wish to start a campaign on awareness of Hepatitis B... Met some committed doctors and shall strategise... Detect and cured asap!," Big B tweeted. 
 
He will next be seen in “Shamitabh”, which is being directed by R. Balki. The film also stars Dhanush and debutante actress Akshara Haasan in pivotal roles. The film is expected to release Feb 6.
