  • Big B Bats For Special Toilets For Women, Educating Kids
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, an active supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Clean India campaign, Wednesday batted for constructing special toilets for women and educating children on cleanliness.

"Build that toilet at home, at the village, at the work place... AND build special ones for the WOMEN. Educate the children towards cleanliness... they shall follow what is taught at this age for life...," Bachchan tweeted.

Modi recently lauded the efforts of the actor who wielded the broom and joined the campaign.

The prime minister launched the Clean India Mission Oct 2 on Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary to promote cleanliness and hygiene in the country.

The 71-year-old screen icon is here to shoot for Shoojit Sircar's upcoming "Piku".

Bachchan, the Unicef Goodwill Ambassador for Polio Eradication, advised people to do what they preach and clean up after themselves rather pass on the job to some one else.

"Swach India! Do what you preach yourself... clean the place with your own hands than leave it for another to do... I DO !!

"Criticism and cynicism shall accompany all good intent... but outcome shuts them up... I did that on many an occasion : Polio eg," he said.

Taking his advocacy a notch further, he stressed equal sanitation opportunities for all.

"For god's sake do not segregate toilets between the boss and the worker... let it be general for all... it will be healthier!!" he tweeted.
