Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is basking in the success of his latest release "Bajirao Mastani", has dismissed rumours that he has signed actor Ranveer Singh for the remake of Subhash Ghai's 1993 hit film "Khalnayak".
 
"No, not at all. That's totally a wrong news," Bhansali said here on Tuesday at the red carpet of the Renault Sony Guild Awards 2015 here.
 
There were reports that Bhansali is keen to remake Ghai's 1993 film and that he's planning to buy its rights.
 
For now, Bhansali is elated with the response to his period drama "Bajirao Mastani".
 
"We have worked really hard on this film so it feels really good to get appreciated. The team had worked really hard on this film," Bhansali said here.
 
"Bajirao Mastani", starring Ranveer, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, has minted Rs.100 crore worldwide and is going strong in theatres, with positive word of mouth. It released alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Dilwale" on December 18.
