Begum Bump: Kareena Says I Have Owned My Pregnancy

Darpan News Desk, 01 Dec, 2016 01:34 PM
  • Begum Bump: Kareena Says I Have Owned My Pregnancy
Kareena has refused to go in a self-imposed exile like most female actors are wont to do at this stage of their life. On the contrary, Kareena has walked the ramp, posed for magazine covers and given interviews.

As she appears on the cover of Grazia magazine, this is what the actor has to say about what differentiates her from everyone else, “I believe there’s a lot of respect and understanding between me and my family, the media, industry friends or even the audience, because I’ve kind of owned the pregnancy.”

The magazine shared an image of Bebo on the cover, wearing a purple dress and looking like a million bucks.

In another image from the shoot, Saif Ali Khan’s Begum is sitting on a couch as she flaunts her baby bump. Looking ethereal, Kareena looks every bit the Bollywood superstar.

Kareena had earlier said that she finds nothing wrong with flaunting the extra weight which comes with pregnancy.

The star, who earned a fair bit of notoriety after turning size zero for a film role, said in the interview to a magazine, “Why should a woman be embarrassed about her body when she’s pregnant?

This is such a joyous experience. I don’t see any reason to hide. If you’ve put on a bit of weight on your face, your arms etc when you’re pregnant, it’s okay.

It’s the only time you can proudly flaunt the extra kilos and say ‘I’m a woman, and this is what God has made, and it’s such a beautiful thing…’ I’m not sure why no Bollywood actress has done this before!”
