Baba Sehgal To Star In Web Series

Darpan News Desk IANS, 21 Mar, 2016 11:28 AM
Singer-actor Baba Sehgal is all set to star in a new web series.

Previously seen in Bollywood with the movie “My Friend Ganesha 3” and a bunch of films in Tamil cinema, Sehgal will be seen in a web series on Viacom18's new digital platform Voot.

The six-episode web series will be a spin off of the reality show "Roadies", of which Sehgal is a fan.

"I have always enjoyed entertaining my audience through my music as well as acting -- be it Bollywood or Tollywood. It's the first time I will be acting in a web series and the reason I chose to do this one is because the concept was an interesting spin off of 'Roadies' and I have always been a fan of that show," Sehgal said in a statement.

"Acting has always been a refreshing change and I like exploring that from time to time in between my music," he added.

Sehgal will also be seen doing a cameo in a project by Yash Raj Films titled "Bank Chor", which features actors Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi.

As a singer, he has earned mass acclaim on social media with his comical titled tracks like "Chicken fried rice", "Aloo ka parantha" and "Mutual fund".
