Audience makes fresh talent into stars, feels Salman

Darpan News Desk IANS, 07 Sep, 2015 11:31 AM
  • Audience makes fresh talent into stars, feels Salman
He is backing the debut of Aditya Pancholi's son Sooraj and Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya in "Hero", but Bollywood star Salman Khan believes there's no need of an established face to promote real talent. He feels the success of an actor and film is for the audience to decide.

At a 'Hero Music Concert', held here on Sunday evening to promote the film, Salman was asked if he believes that a well known face is required to promote fresh faces.

To that, he said: "Sooraj Barjatya that time was not an established face and he produced Salman Khan (with 'Maine Pyar Kiya'). It is all about the film, the music. If audience likes it (an actor and his work), that makes them a star."

He, in fact, feels that the fact that he's going all out to promote them and the film, "could have worked against us" as well.

"When I'm promoting these new actors, people may think the film is Salman Khan's film and the expectation is quite high after 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'. So the film itself has to be good so that people should think about watching it after seeing the promo," he added.
