Arjun Kapoor On Marriage With Malaika Arora: ‘Mere Ghar Pe Bhi Speculation Hai, Kab Shaadi Karega'

Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 May, 2019 06:26 PM

Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora Khan have finally come out in the open about their relationship. But, since then speculations about their wedding have started.

The rumour mill said that the couple were planning to tie-the-knot, earlier this year. However, Arjun has denied all such reports.

Recently, Arjun was asked about the rumours around his marriage and whether it’ll be a private ceremony for him.

Dismissing the reports, Arjun Kapoor said: “If I was keeping it personal, I wouldn’t even be answering your question. I’ve answered that I am NOT getting married, so there’s nothing to hide. If I was getting married, I would tell everybody. If you actually check the last few interviews that I’ve done, I’ve spoken very candidly and openly about it”.

He continued: “The day I decide to get married, I will not hide it from anybody. It is not something that I want to hide. If I’m open about my relationship, there’s no reason for me to want to hide my marriage. Speculation is normal because that is the profession we are in.

It’s harmless because ‘shaadi ki baat ho rahi hai, ab uspe kya gussa hona. Woh mere ghar pe bhi speculation hogi ki ladka jawaan ho gaya hai, kab shaadi karega’. Harmless speculations, I don’t mind because it’s your job.”

He added: “I don’t mind talking about it. I think the media has been very dignified with me, they’ve kept their distance. Little bit of conversation is bound to happen. I’m not the first actor whose personal life is being looked at and I won’t be the last.”

While Arjun denied such reports of planning for a secret wedding, he ensured that it won’t be a quiet ceremony for him.

Arjun said: “A marriage is something to be happy about and I definitely will not hide it. Because if you see our family, the way we have conducted ourselves in the recent past also, whether it was Sonam’s marriage, we make it inclusive and we’ve not hidden things. So, when the time is right, we will make sure you are all a part of it.”
