Alia Bhatt to make her Met Gala debut in a Prabal Gurung outfit this year

Mumbai, April 12 (IANS) Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, who is currently cherishing motherhood, and will be making her international debut with 'Heart of Stone', is all set to make her debut at one of the biggest fashion events of the year, Met Gala.
The Met Gala was established in 1948 by fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert as a fundraiser for the newly founded Costume Institute to mark the opening of its annual exhibit. This year's theme for the event is titled 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty', which will honour the artistic brilliance of the late designer and trace his evolution.
The actress will be a wearing a Prabal Gurang outfit for the red carpet.
Meanwhile on the work front, Alia has an exciting year ahead with the release of Netflix's 'Heart of Stone' with Gal Gadot and 'Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani'.
The year 2022 was a highly rewarding year for her both on personal and professional fronts as she married the line of hey life Ranbir Kapoor and also welcomed their daughter Raha in November 2022. Her projects like 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', 'RRR', 'Brahmastra' and 'Darlings', were all major successes.
Actress Alia Bhatt turned 30 on Wednesday and her mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor had the sweetest birthday wish for her "bahurani". On the work front, Alia will next be seen in 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani', which also stars Ranveer Singh, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra.
Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, who is set to share the screen with actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh in the upcoming film 'Chamkila', couldn't resist gushing over her "fav humans" and "fellow mediators," expressing her gratitude towards Diljit for teaching her so much.
Padukone, a presenter at the event, chose a glamorous bespoke Louis Vuitton gown which she paired with a Cartier necklace. The actress received mixed reviews for her fashion choice, as some deemed the dress boring and predictable while others felt it was glamorous.
The documentary was received by the director Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga. Kartiki talked about the film and said it is for coexistence and thanked the Academy Awards for recognising their work.
As for what to expect at the event, Chopra said the night is all about the nominees, all of whom are nominated in some capacity for an Academy Award. Nominated films at this year's ceremony include RRR, Turning Red, All That Breathes, The Elephant Whisperers and Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Actor-Director Kaushik passed away due to a heart attack in Gurugram late on Wednesday. He was 66. Among his many memorable roles, Kaushik is fondly remembered for playing the role of 'Calendar' in the 1987 film 'Mr. India' directed by Shekhar Kapur, in which Anil Kapoor played the titular character.
