Actress Ira Dubey says her "Dear Zindagi" co-actor Alia Bhatt is sensible and grounded despite the fame she enjoys.
Ira is a skilled actress given her theatre experience.
Asked about her experience of working with a young actress like Alia, Ira said: "I was very impressed with Alia from the first day itself. My mother (Lillete Dubey) used to tell me that when she met Alia, she was three or four years old.
"She always said she wanted to be a star. So she has that star aura in her attitude and personality. You can see what Alia takes to be a star. But at the same time, what I really liked about her that she is a very grounded and sensible girl."
Ira added: "Alia has not caught her head up in the cloud like the perceptions people seem to have about her. She is very committed towards her work. Alia is always prepared when she comes to the set. She don't even have to look at the script."
Alia is all of 23, but she has already found fame with the variety of roles she has portrayed on the big screen in films like "Student of the Year", "Highway" and "Udta Punjab".
Appreciating that, Ira said: "She is just 23 and she has her whole career ahead of her. She has already made some very smart choices. The kind of work she has done, I also strive for it. As actors, we don't want to be typecast."
Helmed by Gauri Shinde, "Dear Zindagi" features Shah Rukh Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Kapoor and Angad Bedi. It is releasing on November 25.
