Ali Zafar Playing Special Role In 'Tere Bin Laden: Dead Or Alive'

  • Ali Zafar Playing Special Role In 'Tere Bin Laden: Dead Or Alive'
Actor Ali Zafar, who played the lead role in "Tere Bin Laden", will be seen in a special role in its sequel "Tere Bin Laden: Dead Or Alive".

"The journey of the character of Ali from the first film has been completed and this film is about the character of Sharma (played by Manish Paul). And in the film Ali has a very special role. When you'll watch the film, you'll understand why he couldn't do the main role," said Abhishek Sharma, the director of both films at the trailer launch on Tuesday.

"I think the trailer has given enough hint out there if you can see it. Only Ali Zafar could've played this special role and I don't think he could've played what Manish is playing. The answer lies in the film once you see it - when you see it you will not miss Ali Zafar since he's brilliant in this film as well," he added.

Manish said that the first time he had met Sharma it was for a different film in a small role and the latter had advised him to also be the lead in "Tere Bin Laden: Dead Or Alive". Surprisingly the earlier film wasn't made but this film is all ready to release.

Ali's character from the first part was a journalist who badly wanted to go to America, but this time, the main character played by Manish is an aspiring filmmaker from Delhi's Chandni Chowk, who wants to make a big film and not fry jalebis with his father.

"How he struggles and lands up in Mumbai, starts the film, makes the film, and what all things happen is what you'll see coming together in the film," said Manish.

"I'm very excited because every person wants to do a film and I have received this opportunity to be a part of such a big film. We're ready with the film and I'm damn sure that people will like the film," he added.

The film is releasing on February 19 and also stars Pradhuman Singh, Piyush Mishra and Sikandar.
