Ali Fazal discussed Marlon Brando with Coppola

Darpan News Desk, 23 Dec, 2015 01:40 PM
  • Ali Fazal discussed Marlon Brando with Coppola
Indian actor Ali Fazal, who met "The Godfather" director Francis Ford Coppola at the 15th Marrakech Film Festival earlier this month, says they discussed legendary actor Marlon Brando and his craft.

Coppola was the jury president at the gala, while Ali was present there with the team of his film "For Here Or To Go?", which also features actors like Omi Vaidya and Rajit Kapur.

The 29-year-old shared that he was in awe of Coppola, Jean Pierre Jeunet and actress Olga Kurylenko, whom he met there.

"I was pretty much in awe until I realised I also was taking part in a conversation with the real 'Godfather'. He is just a gem of a person. A very nurturing man. He told me how it was working with Brando," Ali said in a statement.

He even shared that despite being the president of the jury, Coppola was "not some royalty who sat on the pedestal of greatness".

The festival was held between December 4-12, and also had Indian actress Richa Chadha as part of Coppola's jury.
