Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who is promoting his forthcoming film "Singh Is Bliing", will on Sunday pay homage to Bhagat Singh, one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement, on his birth anniversary.
 
Bhagat Singh was born on September 28, 1907, and was hanged on March 23, 1931 along with Rajguru and Sukhdev in Lahore prison.
 
Akshay, along with the team of "Singh is Bliing", including Lara Dutta, Amy Jackson and director Prabhudheva will be remembering the "real Singh" at a charitable event titled Sadbhawna Diwas 2015 here.
 
The event will be organised by Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation, a unit of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal, read a statement.
 
This year, Akshay, whose film is releasing on October 2, will attend the event in his 'Singh' avatar, wearing a turban.
 
The team of the film will pay homage to Bhagat Singh amidst a gathering at the Yamuna Sports Complex Stadium. Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal is also likely to attend the event.
