Aishwarya-starrer 'Jazbaa' to be dubbed in Arabic, other languages

Darpan News Desk, 26 Aug, 2015 12:15 PM
  • Aishwarya-starrer 'Jazbaa' to be dubbed in Arabic, other languages
"Jazbaa" director Sanjay Gupta says that there is an intention to take the film across the borders and that is why it is being dubbed in numerous international languages.

"I don't want to make any claims that we're making the film to cross the borders. But there is an intention in place. There are cuts of the film being readied, dubbed and released widely all across the UAE. It's been dubbed in Arabic. We're also dubbing it in other South American languages (Spanish and Portuguese) and English.

So there are international cuts with a slighter shorter length that will be going out apart from the diaspora release," he said to queries how the Indian appeal of the film was blended with international appeal.

He was interacting with media at the trailer launch of the action thriller along with its stars Aishwarya and Irrfan.

The question was prompted by the fact that "Jazbaa' features two internationally renowned stars. While Aishwarya is known internationally for her Miss World triumph and other fashion appearances such as Cannes, Irrfan is known for several of his successful films in Hollywood.

On reports that Aishwarya had adopted a profit-sharing model of remuneration for the film, Gupta said that it was all success-sharing while Aishwarya heartily laughed it off, telling the journalist to come to her office to discuss the issue.

"Jazbaa" is a remake of a Korean film and is scheduled to release on October 9.
