Aishwarya Rai Bachchan To Do A Mani Ratnam Film?

    The gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stole all the limelight at the prestigious 70th Cannes Film Festival with channelling her inner Cinderella on the red carpet.
     
     
    The diva, who stunned us as Saba Taliyar Khan in Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' has signed her next big film, reportedly.
     
     
    Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has signed a Mani Ratnam film. The actress has worked with one of the most revered filmmakers thrice in—Iruvar, Guru and Raavan. The report quotes Aishwarya saying in a Facetime interview from Cannes that she took a break from work on purpose as wanted to be with her family.
     
     
     
    She said, “I took a break for the past five months because of personal reasons. I’m glad I did. It meant a lot for me personally so I didn’t have any professional meetings. I started last week and I liked two subjects already. So, as and when we feel the need and the time is right, we will share the news with you. But I have just started listening to scripts. Until then, I had taken time off for work for my family, especially for my mother.”
     
     
    The report further quotes a source as saying, “Yes, Ash and Mani are doing a film together. It’s a romantic drama, which will be a bilingual and will be made in Hindi and Tamil. The two were in talks for a film for years and it’s finally happening.”
     
    However, no official statement has been made either by the actress or by the director as yet.
