Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Returns With Fanne Khan. See Her Stunning First Look

The first official still of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from her upcoming drama Fanne Khan was released on Tuesday evening. Production house KriArj Entertainment shared the actor’s look on Twitter with the caption, “There are divas and then there is #AishwaryaRaiBachchan.. our shining star! #FanneKhan”.

In the still, Aishwarya Rai is seen donning a green military jacket with a stylish black top. The photo suggests that Aish means business.

Fanne Khan is reportedly a remake of the Dutch movie, Everybody’s Famous. The film starred Josse De Pauw, Eva Van Der Gucht and Thekla Reuten. It was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film in 2001.

The original Dutch film’s plotline revolves around a father who goes to extreme lengths to fulfill his daughter’s dream. And by extreme, we mean kidnapping the country’s singing sensation, so that her daughter can take the singer’s place.

The film stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in key roles besides Aishwarya Rai and is reportedly based on the story of a famous singer who is kidnapped by the father (Anil Kapoor) of a wannabe singer. The film brings together Aishwarya and Anil after a gap of over 19 years after Subhash Ghai's Taal. Directed by debutant Atul Manjrekar, this remake of a Belgian film promises something unusual.
