Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan marked her 15th year at the Cannes Film Festival with a touch of elegance and grace in a golden gown designed by Kuwait's Ali Younes.
 
Aishwarya, who is representing cosmetic giant L’Oréal Paris at the gala, turned heads at the red carpet event in the beaded cape couture gown. 
 
Adding a dash of glamour to her red carpet look, she had lined her upper lid with a bold turquoise blue liner, complementing it with a smokey blue eyeshadow and bold lashes, said a statement. 
 
Leaving no stone unturned to create the perfect red carpet style statement, she styled her hair in loose waves and kept the rest of the make-up nude and luminous.
 
Earlier, the actress and her daughter Aaradhya were spotted in co-ordinated clothes as they reached Cannes.
 
Aishwarya looked pretty as she stepped out of the car, sporting cat eye sun-glasses and her signature pink lipstick from the La Vie En Rose collection. 
 
She opted for black jeans and shirt topped by a long cape-like jacket with hints of white and black. Aaradhya was dressed in a white top and black pants.
 
The actress will also take to the red carpet on Saturday. Apart from that, her forthcoming film "Sarbjit", a film which brings forward a sister’s fight towards getting justice for her brother convicted of terrorism and sentenced to death in Pakistan, will also be screened at the ongoing fest.

Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's glittering golden dress at the red carpet of the 69th Cannes Film Festival, left her husband Abhishek Bachchan truly awestruck.
 
Abhishek expressed his admiration for Aishwarya, whom he married in 2007, on social media.
 
Abhishek posted an image of the "Jazbaa" actress in black and white hue on his Facebook and Instagram accounts and captioned it as: “They say a picture speaks a 1000 words. Seeing this photo I can think of many more...”.
 
The photograph features Aishwarya's side profile as she poses for shutterbugs in the gold designer beaded cape couture gown -- designed by Kuwait's Ali Younes -- that she wore for her first appearance at this year's edition of the Cannes movie extravaganza.
 
This time, the actress marked her 15th year at the Cannes Film Festival.
