'Airlift' teaser gives Twinkle Khanna goosebumps

Darpan News Desk IANS, 18 Nov, 2015 01:20 PM
Inspired by the story of the evacuation of Indians who were based in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war, the teaser of actor Akshay Kumar-starrer "Airlift", gave his wife Twinkle Khanna goosebumps.

After Akshay unveiled the first teaser of the film on Wednesday morning, Twinkle took to Twitter to appreciate it. "What an amazing teaser! I had goosebumps and all #Airlift," she posted.

In the over two-minute long teaser, the 48-year-old is seen as an influential businessman who has made many enemies owing to his power.

It gives a sneak peek of the time when Iraq invaded Kuwait and Indians had to be evacuated in 1990.

Akshay had earlier mentioned that he is proud to be a part of the film.

"How many people know about the Kuwait evacuation? I'm proud to be part of a film that brings this true story alive," he tweeted.

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the film also stars Nimrat Kaur. It is slated to release on January 22 next year.
