AIB enters fiction space with political satire 'The Ministry'

  • AIB enters fiction space with political satire 'The Ministry'
Popular comedy group All India Bakchod (AIB) is set to foray into the fiction space with its first-of-a-kind political satire show, "The Ministry".

AIB, which came into limelight after its controversial roast featuring actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapur, keeps coming up with new content and parodies.

"‘The Ministry' is a political satire. The show has been written by Gursimran Khamba, Zakir Khan and AIB First Draft season one graduates Dhruv Narang and Gaurav Mishra," Tanmay Bhat, co-founder of AIB, told IANS.

"The show is a political comedy and a humorous take on Indian politics. It's our first fictional show. India hasn't seen a political satire show since a long time.

"In fact, the only show we have seen was the Indian adaptation of ‘Yes Minister' (‘Ji Mantriji'). We are hoping that the audience will like this experience as we haven't seen much like this before. It will be a 10-episode show," he added.

The show will be aired on Amazon's video-on-demand service Prime Video in 2017.
