  • Adnan Sami Features In 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' Song
Singer Adnan Sami has not just sung a qawwali for Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" but he also features in the track, which also has snapshots of the superstar.

The song "Bhar do jholi meri" -- written by Kausar Munir -- has primarily been shot at a dargah with Sami.

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" director Kabir Khan and some prominent members of the film launched the new number at an event here on Thursday.

"It's a special track for us. It's mine as well as Salman's favourite song from the film," Kabir said.

The song is an adaptation of a qawwali sung by the Sabri Brothers.

"It's a well known qawwali made famous by the Sabri Brothers. And when we were looking for an apt song for a particular situation in the film, we looked for a song having an air of authenticity with it... a song which had moved people over the decades," Kabir added.

"Bhar do jholi meri" is a new rendition of this famous Qawwali.

"We wanted Adnan Sami to not just sing it but also wanted to have it picturised on him. It's an extremely moving song and that was the basic motive behind it," Kabir said.

The makers are hoping the new song will heighten the tremendous buzz for "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".
