Actress Zarine Khan, who was launched in Bollywood by Salman Khan in the 2010 film "Veer", says his acquittal in the 2002 accident case on Thursday, is the best gift that he could get ahead of his 50th birthday.

Zarine, who also danced with Salman on the "Character dheela" song in the film "Ready", told IANS: "I am very happy for Salman Khan. Finally after so many years, he has got the freedom. This is the best gift Salman has got for his 50th birthday. What more he could ask for?

"I just congratulated him and I am very happy for him."

Salman, who will turn 50 on December 27, was emotional after the verdict was announced in the accident case, in which a pavement dweller was killed and four others injured.
