It's been 15 years since he first came on the big screen with "Refugee". Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who has since starred in romantic, action and even comedy films has thanked his friends, family and fans for their unending support.
 
The 39-year-old actor, son of cinematic veterans Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, may not have tasted as much success as his father, but he has certainly made his presence felt with his performance in movies like "Bunty Aur Babli", "Guru", "Dostana", "Paa", 
 
The actor took to micro-blogging website Twitter and wrote: "Today I complete 15 yrs in the film industry. Thank you all for the love and support. You guys are my inspiration and reason. #15YearsOfAB."
 
His debut film "Refugee", directed by J.P. Dutta, was also the launchpad for Kareena Kapoor.
 
Thanking the film's crew and cast, Abhishek posted: "Refugee my 1st film released on this day in 2000. 30/6/2000 #15YearsOfAB. Thank you JP sahab, @bindasbhidu @AnupamPkher Suneil anna and the rest of the cast and crew. I would not be here if it wasn’t for all of you.
 
 
"Kareena (bebo), thank you. My first ever co-star, friend and rabble rouser in the industry. You will always be a favourite. #15YearsOfAB."
 
On his special day, Abhishek's B-Town friends also reached out to congratulate him:
