Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is impressed with the trailer of Punjabi singer-actor Gippy Grewal's directorial debut film “Ardaas”, which touches upon several societal issues like farmer suicides and female foeticide.

The actor, who has earned the tag of Bollywood's 'Mr. Perfectionist', also said that he is eagerly waiting to watch the film, which will make its way into the theatres on March 11.

“All the very best Gippy on your directorial debut! Superb trailer! Can't wait to see the film. Love. a,” Aamir tweeted.

The film, which also features Ammy Virk, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Mandy Takhar, Rana Ranbir and Sardar Sohi, brings together several facades of the problems prevailing in society to narrate an emotional story.

With the rural setting of Punjab as the background, the film talks about issues like drug use, farmer suicides and female foeticide.

After writing and directing, Gippy, who made his debut in Bollywood with "Second Hand Husband" last year, also features in the film, though his part is small.
