Darpan News Desk IANS, 11 Feb, 2015 11:01 AM
  • A Fun Ride: Gautami Kapoor On Married Life
Happy, challenging and satisfying - this is how actress Gautami Kapoor describes her journey with husband and actor Ram Kapoor.

"My journey with Ram has been great fun...Happy , challenging, satisfying. We are together for almost 15 years now and I am so proud that he has worked hard and achieved all the success," she said.

Their love blossomed on sets of a TV show and they got married in 2003. The couple has two children together.

While Valentine's Day, Feb 14, is inching closer, Gautami says that are no special plans thanks to their busy schedule.

"No plans for this Valentine's Day as we both our working. Ram has a film to finish and am busy with the show shooting and promotions," the actress said.

On the professional front, Gautami is headed back to TV fiction space after a year with Star Plus' show "Tere Sheher Mein".

Talking about the show, she said: "My character, Sneha Mathur, is a strong, independent married woman who loves and lives for her family. She is grounded despite her affluent background."

Gautami, who has been a part of shows like "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" and "Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi", also mentions that the show is very "relatable".

"'Tere Sheher Mein' has given me the opportunity to portray a character which is very real and relatable. I have shot a few episodes and by far this is one of the best shows that I have ever been a part of," she added.
