'A Flying Jatt' Sequel On Remo's Mind

Darpan News Desk IANS, 21 Oct, 2016 12:05 PM
  • 'A Flying Jatt' Sequel On Remo's Mind
Ace choreographer-filmmaker Remo D'souza, who received mixed response for his last directorial venture "A Flying Jatt", says he would love to make a sequel to the superhero film.

"I made this film with a lot of hard-work and devotion and yes, I would love to make a sequel. But I am aware of the fact that a lot of people did not enjoy ‘A Flying Jatt', so we will put in more dedication in the sequel for everyone to love and appreciate it," Remo told IANS ahead of the film's premiere on Saturday on Zee Cinema.

"The prime reason behind making ‘A Flying Jatt' was that there are barely any ‘desi' superhero films in Bollywood which Indians can relate to. I wanted to exhibit that a superhero is more than just superpowers and leads a normal life like the others do. I wanted to attach a human factor to a superhero," he added.

This was the first time Remo worked with Tiger Shroff in a film.

Talking about the "Heropanti" actor, Remo said: "I had a great time with Tiger on the sets of ‘A Flying Jatt'. He is very passionate and dedicated when it comes to his work. I know his sincerity and definitely would love to work with him again."

Remo was last seen on the small screen as super judge on "Dance+ Season 2". He feels that today's youth is more keen on choosing dance as a career option.

"Youngsters are selecting dance as a profession and are aiming for an aspiring career in the field of dance. I am happy to see that we brought about that change and encouraged young people to opt for dance as their path," Remo said.

On career front, Remo is currently working on another script with actors Ajay Devgn and Sooraj Pancholi.

He will also return with the third part of "ABCD", which he said will "commence somewhere around mid-2017".

"For me, ‘ABCD' cast is a family, we move together and no one leaves. The spectacular cast of ‘ABCD' was seen in the second part and would be seen in the third part also. We plan to continue that way for the ‘ABCD' franchise," he said.
