15 years of 'Aks' makes Rakeysh Mehra nostalgic

Darpan News Desk IANS, 13 Jul, 2016 12:15 PM
On the 15th anniversary of "Aks" on Wednesday, filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra said it feels the movie's release happened just yesterday.

"'Aks' Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee... 15 years of 'Aks' and it feels like yesterday," Mehra tweeted.

"Aks" is a thriller in which an assassin is hanged to death but killings continue to occur in the same style he had used. The hunt for a copycat leads to the policeman who had arrested the assassin.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, Manoj Bajpayee and Nandita Das.

The "Rang De Basanti" director also shared that he feels blessed for making a debut with "such amazing" talent.

"'Aks' Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee, Raveena Tandon, Nandita Das it was a blessing that I debuted with such amazing talent led by the eternal AB," he added.

On the work front, Mehra is currently waiting for the release of his upcoming film "Mirzya", which marks the debut of actor Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan Kapoora and Saiyami Kher.
