Story of a film such as 'Jogi' needs to be told with sensitivity: Diljit Dosanjh

Mumbai, Sep 14 (IANS) Diljit Dosanjh, who is all set for the release of his upcoming film 'Jogi' on Netflix, has talked about working on a sensitive film centred around the anti-Sikh riots that erupted in Delhi after the assassination of Indira Gandhi in Delhi in 1984.
Dosanjh, who was helmed by ace director Ali Abbas Zafar, who's best known for 'Gunday', 'Sultan' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai', said that it is important for a story of the kind around which the film revolves to be narrated with credibility and in a sensitive manner.
'Jogi' charts a story of three friends who unite to save hundreds during the riots that tear apart their city. Apart from Diljit, the film's lead star cast includes Kumud Mishra, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Hiten Tejwani and Amyra Dasturi.
In the film, Diljit's character, Jogi, advocates brotherhood, unity and courage to fight against all odds and go the extra mile to protect his loved ones.
Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro has been accused of gender discrimination and fostering an abusive work environment for women in a $12 million lawsuit filed by an ex-employee, Graham Chase Robinson. De Niro's side terms it "beyond absurd".
The 51-year-old actor has been trying to "recover" the more carefree attitude he held in his 20s, and would like to connect with his younger self to discover where his "courage" came from, reports "femalefirst.co.uk".
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen on the big screen in "Zero", has said that he will announce his next film in a month or two. He added that he is working on two to three scripts right now.
