  • Punjabi music legend Balwinder Safri passes away at 63

Music legend Balwinder Safri is no more at 63.

Safri had been discharged from the hospital recently after spending 86 days in New Cross Hosptial. 

He was admitted to the hospital on 20th April 2022 following heart complications and two days later a triple bypass was performed on him.

Safri was operated on and was taken back to the theatre for further surgery, he was in a coma after his surgey with CT scans showing that brain damage had occured. 

Capt Amarinder Singh expressed grief on the singer's demise. 

The Brit Asia TV awards shared a Twitter post recognizing the calibre of the artist.

His loss is being felt by the Punjabi community locally and around the world.
